Mount Cook
A lively, mixed inner-city neighbourhood. Students and academics around Massey’s Wellington campus, long-time residents in the villas, and a constant flow toward the cafés, the hospital and the city. It has an unpolished, authentic energy rather than a manicured one.

Housing and streets
A real mix: characterful timber villas and townhouses, apartments and student accommodation, and infill on the tighter streets. Some streets are flat, others climb quickly. Proximity to Massey and the hospital means a strong rental component.
Getting around
Hard to beat for central access. Walkable to Te Aro and the city, with frequent buses along Adelaide Road and Tasman Street through to Newtown and the south. Flat enough in parts to cycle easily.
