Privacy and how I use your details

Tommy’s Real Estate

Privacy

This page explains what this site collects, why, and what you can ask me to do about it. It is written to the Privacy Act 2020 and the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

Who is responsible

Jason Lange, a licensed salesperson under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008, working at Tommy’s Real Estate Wellington City. You can reach me on 027 486 2590 or at jason@tommys.co.nz.

What I collect, and why

  • A suburb performance report request. Your street and your email address, so I can put the report together and send it to you.
  • A newsletter subscription. Your email address, so I can send you Street Level once a month.
  • An enquiry or a message. Whatever you choose to tell me, so I can answer you.

I do not ask for anything I do not need, and I do not require an account to read anything on this site.

Where it goes

Requests and enquiries go into my own client system, which I run and control. Newsletter subscriptions are held in Mailchimp, which sends the emails on my behalf and stores data outside New Zealand. This site itself runs on WordPress.com.

Email, and your consent

I will only add you to Street Level if you ask to be added. Asking for a suburb report does not subscribe you to anything. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry and client records for as long as I need them to do the job and to meet the record keeping obligations that apply to licensed salespeople. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

What I never do

I do not sell your details, and I do not pass them to third parties for their own marketing.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask me for a copy of the personal information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it. Email or call me and I will sort it out. If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Cookies

This site uses the cookies WordPress.com needs to run the site and to count visits. It does not run advertising trackers.
